THE DJS ARE HERE

Presenter

Mario Petrella

I made my debut on Radio 3 at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation. The show aired on a Sunday evening competing with Dallas on the local TV station. I remember being told that my listenership would be rather limited as the country used to come to a grinding halt, with viewers glued to their TV sets. I was pleasantly surprised that I got a good following. I am very passionate about being able to play good rock music In May 2016 I joined LM Radio where I presented the Early Breakfast Show on a Friday and also two more shows, on Saturday morning and early evening. I left LM Radio in March 2017.

Wildlife Journalist

Bruce Munro

I had a life of travel , twenty five years in aviation from bush flying to corporate to airline where I retired as a Captain. Then twenty five years as a tour operator and national guide on wildlife safaris around Southern Africa . Saw Southern Africa from the skies and then on the ground . Now happily retired on the East Coast with my Companion Mr Comet .

The Man who Turned R100,000 into a R40 Billion Insurance Giant

At a time dominated by Harry Oppenheimer and Anton Rupert, a South African businessman quietly built the country’s fifth-largest company that revolutionised life insurance and retirement savings. Born in Johannesburg in 1930 to immigrant parents, Gordon was educated at the prestigious King Edward VII School (KES) in Houghton. He excelled academically and, after matriculating in 1947, attended […]
