David Lambkin, internationally acclaimed author, most noted for his book, ‘The Hanging Tree’ is back with ‘ Whisper of Death’ (Penguin Random House) sited primarily around the Zanzibar Archipelago.

Paul Morgan, the principal protagonist, is a struggling author who gets dragged into a WW2 deadly spy drama with present day horrors. It’s a pulse-racing thriller, laced liberally with death, African wild animals, love, sex and exotic food. I so enjoyed it.

Malcolm Gladwell, who wrote ‘The Tipping Point’ 25 years ago – a term now part of English language – has, after seven books, returned with ‘Revenge of the Tipping Point.’( Abacus Books / Jonathan Ball).

Gladwell focuses on social engineering and offers an alternate history of two of the biggest epidemics of our time, COVID and the opioid crisis. Startling, insightful and his most personal book yet.

‘You are Here’( Sceptre/ Jonathan Ball) by bestselling author, David Nicholls, is sensitive, witty (often hilarious) and profound, about a couple thrown together in a walk from one side of England to the other.

Sounds boring? No ways.  You’ll love it.
