I made my debut on Radio 3 at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation. The show aired on a Sunday evening competing with Dallas on the local TV station. I remember being told that my listenership would be rather limited as the country used to come to a grinding halt, with viewers glued to their TV sets. I was pleasantly surprised that I got a good following. I am very passionate about being able to play good rock music In May 2016 I joined LM Radio where I presented the Early Breakfast Show on a Friday and also two more shows, on Saturday morning and early evening. I left LM Radio in March 2017.
I had a life of travel , twenty five years in aviation from bush flying to corporate to airline where I retired as a Captain. Then twenty five years as a tour operator and national guide on wildlife safaris around Southern Africa . Saw Southern Africa from the skies and then on the ground . Now happily retired on the East Coast with my Companion Mr Comet .

Hummus is becoming a very popular and versatile condiment for a range of meals. It’s no longer something that only vegetarians enjoy. This chickpea dip has its origin in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, and it is as versatile as it is nutritious – definitely more than just a dip for veggie sticks. Heleen Meyer has a quick and easy recipe and shares more ways to even get creative with […]
Across Africa’s 54 countries and thousands of ethnic groups, one theme is consistent: Food is not just nourishment - it is a celebration of community, culture, and connection. Whether it’s a family meal in Lagos, a street food feast in Addis Ababa, or a ceremonial dish in Dakar, African cuisine teaches us that the act of eating is deeply communal and symbolic. The Power of Shared Meals: Eating Together, Living […]
